Even though many of us would love to invent something truly cool and disruptive, not all of us devote enough time for development and innovation activities. We get stuck with executing our work, making ourselves busy, reacting on other´s needs and often just execute the business demands and don’t invest enough time for business development and innovation. Sadly, the picture up here is pretty close to reality.

But why don’t we find the time for business development and innovation? Why don’t we treat it as a priority?

Well, sometimes the reason can be that we feel nothing really happens with our new ideas, they end up in someone’s drawer and never get implemented. And that is demotivating, for sure. And perhaps, one of the reasons can be that we have experienced sitting around the office table, forcing our ideas to come across and when we feel we are not heard, we stop trying to bring any new ideas. Why should we, if we feel no-one actually cares? Or even worst, if someone shoots them down right away!

Brainstorming is not enough

Traditional quick brainstorming meetings are not working for many ……

But imagine to go out of the office, have lots of fun and team discussions in a well-moderated way, where everyone needs to speak up and no one can smash ideas (no matter what the idea is..). The whole day is in a very positive tone, with great spirit, good relaxed atmosphere, nice friendly discussions where you get to know your colleagues on a much deeper level, and you get to laugh a lot together as well. You don’t sit, you move, dance or walk, go out for a short walk to smell some fresh air. You hear some noise from your surroundings or taste some food blind-folded, you listen to some great classical music and visualize some concrete task.

This gets your mind into a very different state – obviously.

Ideas which you produce in this state of mind will differ greatly from your normal brainstorming meetings.

Where the magic happens

And that’s how artists create. They have fun, they feel inspired, they are in different state of the mind and then the magic happens.

And we all can get there, with good preparation. The magic does not happen when you have a meeting room booked for a limited time and there is no good preparation.

And magic won’t happen either when people don’t feel safe.

In Path2Innovate workshops, we facilitate those magical moments for creating something new. And we are proud of being able to help companies to bring new ideas to the world. In a playful way, great spirit and team collaboration.

If you need truly NEW ideas, you have to create them in a new way. For more information contact us.
